Vasara un dūmi - June 14th, 2020

BBC sauc Vinstona Čērčila statuju Londonas Parlamenta laukumā par strīdīgu, un jau izspieduši no viņa mazmeitas bažīgu piebildi, ka statuju varbūt varētu glabāt muzejā. Čērčila, kurš ilgu laiku bija teju vienīgais nacistu pretspēks Rietumeiropā, kamēr citi pakļāvās, sadarbojās vai aiz okeāna sūkāja ķepu. Šim atprātoto vājprātam vairs tiešām nav nekādu robežu.


Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail.
