Nu tā, griežu šodien uz riņķi Interpol - Antics un pamazām nonāku pie kaut kādiem secinājumiem.

Allmusic.com ir pilnīga taisnība - Interpol debijas albumu Turn On The Bright Lights nav iespējams pārspēt. Antics nav ne tuvu tam, ar ko Interpol mani paņēma savulaik - ir pazudis tas unnerving feeling, kas lika Bright Lights klausīties vēl un vēl. Nedaudz ir pazudis arī tas 80-ties feeling, un pilnīgi noteikti ir pazudusi nemierīgā trauksme. varētu teikt, ka Interpol ir kļuvuši vieglāk klausāmi, kas viņu gadījumā nav kompliments.

No otras puses albums ir pilnīgi ok. Pāris dziesmas ir pilnīgs kraps, taču ir arī tādi hailaiti kā Evil, Take You On A Cruise, Slow Hands un C'mere. Muzikāli nav sajūtas, ka Interpol atkārtotos vai vismaz mēģinātu to darīt - izskatās, ka puiši pamazām meklē jaunus ceļus, bet vēl nav atraduši. Dīvainākais ir tas, ka vietumis viņi izklausās pat jautri...

Arī lirikas ir kļuvušas kaut kādas tiešākas, mazāk sirreālas. Protams, no A-Z par mīlestību :) Gaidiet liriku snipetus šīs dienas laikā.

Vērtējums varētu būt 7/10 - un tas ir ok, ņemot vērā, ka esmu stingrs kritiķis :)
