Britu valdība nesen izstrādāja vadlīnijas tam kā Augstākās tiesas spriedumam - ka dzimums nozīmē bioloģisko dzimumu - jādarbojas praksē, respektīvi, ka sievietes nezaudē tiesības uz savu sportu, saviem krīzes centriem, ģērbtuvēm etc. Tagad vairāk kā 100 depuātu cīnās, lai tās tiktu atceltas. Tie ir sekojoši:
50 deputātu no leiboristu partijas
47 liberālie demokrāti
5 no skotu nacionālās partijas
3 no zaļās partijas
ja godīgi, esmu pārsteigta, ka tikai 3 zaļie iebilst pret to, ka sievietes ir reālas, dabā eksistējošas būtnes ar savām specifiskajām vajadzībām un, ka nevar likt vienlīdzības zīmi starp 10 gadīgu meiteni un 40 gadīgu vīriešu fetišistu*, domāju, ka būs vairāk.

Jurisprudences profesoram Maiklam Foranam (Michael Foran) nācās Oksfordas Universitātē atsaukt savu lekciju kursu par dzimumu, dzimti un likumu, jo transaktīvisti ieradās izjaukt lekcijas un draudēja izrēķināties ar studentiem, kas bija uz lekcijām ieradušies.

Vairāki akadēmiķi ir parakstījuši vēstuli, kurā aicina Forana lekcijas atjaunot, tas man dod nelielu cerību, ka varbūt universitātēs vēl ir palikusi kāda kripatiņa saprāta. Fragments no vēstules:
"We fully support students’ right to engage in peaceful protest, which does not imply a right to disrupt teaching or research. The Office for Students Regulatory Advice 24 is clear that universities and colleges can legitimately regulate the time, place and manner of protests, and this does not constitute interference with the right to protest.
The failure of the Proctors to uphold the essential functions of the university has created a hostile and degrading environment for Michael Foran and his students, and will inevitably contribute to a chilling effect constraining the discussion of sex and gender at the university.
The disruption of lectures violates the rights of students and other audience members to listen, to participate in discussion, and to learn from their lecturers and from one another. The university must act to ensure that Dr Foran’s lectures can be rescheduled, and that no disruptive protest will be authorised. It should be made clear to the student body that any disruption will be met with disciplinary action. We further suggest that the Proctors should receive training to ensure that they understand the legal duties of the university and their role in upholding these duties. " |

Šī ir īsta viduslaiku mīkla.
Man tā ļoti patīk vairāku iemeslu dēļ. Paskaidrojumu kopā ar atbildi palikušu apakšā, jo varbūt kāds, pirms izlasa atbildi, vēlas mazliet palauzīt galvu par to, kas tas varētu būt.
