Caur romantismu un drupām, ģeoloģiju un botāniku un gaisa/gaismas efektu modelējumiem, rēgojas pre-modernā cilvēka spēkošanās ar dabu. Ironiski, ka, zeltīto kuram-lielāks rāmju ievirzīts, skatiens biežāk šķiet atduramies pret perfektu plakni – nevis realitātes ilūziju. Feders vairākus gadus vadījis fotostudiju.

Through ruins and Romanticism, geology and botany, and modeling of air and light effects, a pre-Modern man’s struggle with nature shines forth. Ironically, the spectator’s gaze, directed by the golden mine-is-bigger-than-yours frames, more often than not hits a perfect plane instead of an illusion of reality. Feders ran a photo studio for several years.

Without the exhibition checklist/price-list, it is not that easy to determine the time of creation of these works. Drenched in syrup, generalised landscapes appear to be attempting to communicate some human message. Or is it more sci-fi than romanticism…
