Spriežot pēc infostenda par vīrišķību (un Deivida Bovija un Endija Vorhola citātu klātesamības tajā), kā arī slēpšanās aiz priekškara vai džungļos, vai knapi samanāmā, izbalējušā zēna, vai bezvārda cilvēka izstādes tekstā, runa šeit ir par vispasaules stipro ģimeņu biedu – homoseksualitāti. Mačo vīrišķības apšaubīšana publiskajā telpā, protams, pats par sevi ir sasniegums, bet viss liekas sakonstruēti.

Judging from the informative display on masculinity (with quotes from David Bowie and Andy Warhol, no less), as well as the hiding behind the curtain or in the jungle, or from the barely legible, fading boy, or the nameless man in the accompanying text, the exhibition deals with that gravest of threats to strong families the world over – homosexuality. Public questioning of macho maleness, undeniably, is a feat in itself, yet the show seems somewhat contrived.

Interesanti būtu paurķēties, kāpēc VZ ir tik ļoti fiksēts uz seksu; "Sieviešu mākslas" analīzē bieži lietotā psihoanalītiskā metode ļautu iegūt kādu cilvēcīgāku kopsaucēju par šobrīd esošo vaislīgā mačo mītu..

Exhibition's concept and exposition design doesn't do justice to Vilnis Zābers' art, in which Beuysian sensuality merges with brutality of Post-soviet/wild capitalist 1990s.
It would be interesting to use psychoanalysis to get clear why the author is so fixated on sex and thus maybe get more human-like picture of him and his art as opposed to the now-present myth of the 'fecund macho'
