Medījumi paši varbūt arī ir drīzāk nepārsteidzoši – laika gars, vides specifika un estētiskās konvencijas. Bet rāmji šeit pavēsta vairāk nekā paši attēli. Ir Luvras konfekškaste, ir (pseido) 1960.gadu kičs, ir viens neuzkrītoši gaumīgs.

The game is fairly unsurprising – zeitgeist, local specificity and aesthetic convention. The frames here, perhaps, are more telling than the paintings. There’s a Louvre praline box, there’s kitsch a la 1960s, and there’s one fairly tasteful.
