Ja māksliniece to attīstītu mērķtiecīgāk, mātes un bērna tēls latviešu mākslā varētu iegūt iepriekš nepieredzētu psiholoģisku asumu.
Poor, poor, poor child. Maybe artist is happy to be able to paint, just as a child is thrilled to find out that he and not his parents own child's body, mind and life. In this case, good for you, Laine Kainaize. Unfortunately the result hasn't got far from her mother's (outstanding artist Biruta Baumane) and the mother's era's (Soviet Latvia's) aesthetic grip. Dull art where only the mother and child's theme shines through. It has particular psychological acuteness that organizes rather patch-work stylisctics of her works.. really wish she'd expand on it more..
