August release for new Prodigy album

August 24th will see the long-awaited return of electronica act the Prodigy. The follow-up since their 1997 album "The Fat of the Land", will be the 12-track "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned". Apparently the USA will only be served two weeks later, on September 14th via Maverick/XL. A single, entitled "Girls", will preceed the album and will be featuring the Ping Pong Bitches. A tour should follow later in the year. Included as guestmusicians on the album are actress Juliette Lewis on "Hot Ride", Oasis' Liam Gallagher on "Shoot Down", rapper Twista on "Get Up Get Off", rapper Kool Keith on "Wake Up Call" and "You'll Be Under My Wheels" and Princess Superstar on "Memphis Bells". The album has been in the works for over 3 years. Notice that the 2002 single "Baby's Got a Temper" will not be included on "Always Outnumbered". Needless to say that expectations are high. |
