I always tell people that I grow up with good design in my home, with all the Joe Columbo and Achillle Castiglioni pieces, not becaue we're rich or because my parents were educated in design. Not at all, we were totally middle class and my parents are doctors. It's just because that's what you would find at the corner. Now, we've got to the point: There's design that costs more and design that costs less. Some of it is good, some of it is bad.
