I look out
The windows
Of the world
And I see
Long faces
Unfurled
Decay and decline
Sparse moments sublime

I look at
The windows
Of the world
And I see
Uncradled designs
Men and women
Unknowing of
Harvest times
In service of
Virtual moons
In tiny grave rooms

And friends say - fear
Switch to the Mayan Year
And they say
Ghost to the hurls of wet clay
The new age is here

And I say
Press your face
To the windows
Of the world
Look at
The long faces
Unfurled
See the decay and decline
Live the sparse moments sublime
