psychrophile / cryophile - an organism that grows better at temperatures of 15 °C or lower; organisms that are capable of growth and reproduction in cold temperatures. common in cold soils, permafrost, polar ice, cold and/or deep ocean waters, in or under alpine snowpack, in arctic soils, high-latitude, glaciers, and snowfields. They are of particular interest to astrobiology, the field dedicated to the formulation of theory about the possibility of extraterrestrial life, and to geomicrobiology, the study of microbes active in geochemical processes.

You know how you have multiple hearts in your chest for each love a separate one, each whole and lifetime lasting. You know how they all keep working even though you switch on one and leave others behind. You know how you would like the fierce autumn winds to blow right through the rest of them and keep just one. You know how you need heartneglectic drugs and artificially induced heartdisorientation for the faulty ones to stop arriving at long-should-be-forgotten doors. How they bug you by jumping right out on the window sill when the scent of their love passes by down there on the streets. Because how come.
