amazingly, in spite of having lost any predisposition for communication, I seem to be fully capable of it - the words are still in my mind and unwillingly my mouth reproduces the familiar sounds, only the expression is vague and dumb.

I imagine, if we were to part for a moment with any motivation, any sensible reasoning and prejudice, which all affect our daily manner of speech, we might be able to talk, or to reproduce any ever-obtained knowledge at all, much better than we are in our daily desperate trials to know, prove, and excell.
