The Catcher in the Rye @ 23:32

Guess what? I finally read it - The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I got this book on my 19th birthday, it was more than 2 years ago. I started it than, but somehow the mood wasn't right and the book it self made me kinda mad and sad at the same time. Not the plot, no, the book... as I said it was a gift from a person who was very important to me once... Anyway recently I took it out form the bookshelf and decided to read it...or at least try... And this time I did it, because the timing was right and I'm not mad at it anymore. This book is different, it's special. And the most special thing about it is the title. I couldn't understand, why it has a title like that until I got to this:
"Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big feel of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around - nobody big, I mean - except me. And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff - I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I'd do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all . I know it's crazy, but it's the only thing I'd really like to be." And suddenly it made perfect sense! This is the perfect title for it.

See U in pages of other great books!

A.

P.s. Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody.
