Legislation of M.Aemilius Scaurus, consul in 115 B.C., supported by the censors, prohibited dormice, shellfish and imported birds. P. Licinius Crassus, austere father of the later triumvir, consul in 97 and censor in 89, re-enacted the last two laws without much variation, probably as aedile some time before 102.B.C.
