Anyone who calls Lady Gaga ahead of her time has never even seen a fucking picture of David Bowie or Madonna. She is nothing but an amalgamation of the actually interesting artists who came before her. I would hope that, in 20 years, she's a forgotten husk.
She's an "artist" who forces the odd, rather than having that odd actually coming from within her, as it did with artists of the past. If you want what she's ripping off, casually browse the underground of ANY decade.
