Ugh. So, I try not to get caught up in these sensational tragety stories, but this just makes me so sick. That bus driver is so neligent I can't even believe hes allowed to be a driver.I CAN'T BELIEVE ALL THE WHITE PEOPLE THINK THE LITTLE BLACK GIRL IS MAKING IT UP.TELL ME this is not the issue here.Seven year old sexually assaulted repeatedly on bus by 16 year old. No one accountable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR0FRHd62GUARE YOU KIDDING ME? | Sunday, January 3rd, 2010 | 6:45 pm |
Alright, anime. So I'm up to episode 6 of Gakuen Alice, and I've decided it is good. Also, the ending of Gokusen was GREAT (see OTP in icon) but I then hear that the manga is even better, so I've got that all downloaded and ready to go. I'm so happy when I find series...es...that are good. | Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 | 5:22 pm |
Gakuen Alice I don't know if anyone cares about me posting about anime, but oh well.I started watching Gakuen Alice a few days ago.I LOVE IT.That doesn't mean its good. But the premise (I swear, if you squint) is that two elementary school girls are really good friends. They love each other, they show it in different ways. I love it when girls love each other (you know, in the platonic way. The other way too,but thats not what I'm appreciating here.) But it is SO MUCH like Kodomo no Omocha. WOW.Main character= totally Sana-chan.Anyway, its about a magic acadamy of sorts, but the same-sex close friendships are super sweet. I love it! Plus lots of bishounen and cross dressers, etc. This is what I remember loving about anime.Oh, and opposite role is an angry fire boy. Amanda, are you listening? | Friday, January 1st, 2010 | 3:35 pm |
YAY EPISODE 11 of GOKUSEN ANIME was GREAT.Intense moments were not overplayed, and symbols (Sawada delivers the math test to Yankumi to show that he wants her to save him, it was so beautiful!) are left subtle! Imagine!!!GOKUSEN is a great miracle teacher series. Watch it!Yankumi is soooooooo cool. | Saturday, January 31st, 2009 | 2:12 pm |
Wierd Easter, and Economic Stimuwhat? Oi. So This morning I woke up and freaked out. I could stand the way anything smelled, especially Peter, who didn't smell any different than usual when he woke up, I just couldn't stand it. So I went in the living room and proceeded to sweep, dust, and mop the whole place. Peter tried dearly to calm me down, after I made him take a shower, and we went for a walk. Its nice outside. I did the laundry, changed all the bed sheets, opened the bedroom window and I'm now going to attempt to do my homework all wrapped up in my bed.I've been on edge becasue I've been queasy for two whole days, and getting bad headaches at night.I know, who cares?Moving on, Economic Stimulus Package.Government gives me extra money? From where? Out their asses? What am I going to do with it? Pay my bills? Yeah. I said it when they first had the bright idea and I'll say it now. I'll take the money, but it wont work the way you think it will. | 2:14 am |

Hmm. Is it wrong that I prefer to eat my rice a roni cold the next day instead of fresh cooked? | Monday, January 26th, 2009 | 3:05 pm |
Le sigh. So, I'm just about back to normal. I've got a slight bit of healing pain going on, and a bruise of a whole rainbow of colors, but I'm to the point where I occasionally forget that I got whumped in the abddomen with a piece of wood. Which is nice.Unfortunately, I'm not able to make it past noon. For the past few days, I've been to school at 9, and by 12 I'm so tired I can barely walk, then I take a bus home and sleep the rest of the day away. Not very productive.Nonetheless, things are working out. I get at least one thing done a day, with a little work in the studio. I watched a couple of old movies. Peter is still in New York, hes not coming back until tomorrow. I sure do miss him. | Sunday, January 25th, 2009 | 1:30 pm |
Oh hey guys, woodshop! So, you may or may not have heard that I had a little accident. On monday morning I was cutting a big piece of MDF in the woodshop, when it kicked back into my abdomen, and I went crashing down on the floor.Luckily, Sarah was with me (buddy system: alright!) and called 911. Well, called Nancy, which is the same as 911. The wood had smashed into my bladder, and the fall had knocked my hip all funny. Half of MECA and a bunch of EMTs showed up intantly, and took me to the hospital.I'm fine now, some bruising and a little difficulty walking-not-like-an-old-lady, but I'm not longer urinating blood, and the bladder is okay/theres no internal bleeding/no bones are busted.I've got a hell of a bruise and sex is out of the picture for a while, but I came out very very lucky considering the circumstances. I've got money to take the bus to school so I don't have to walk, and I'm waaaaay far behind on my schoolwork. Luckily, I'm on spring break.Thats the jist, you don't need more, I've been resting for three days and I never took the Oxycodone. Time to get to work. thanks for your thoughts if you've been worrying about me. | Saturday, January 24th, 2009 | 9:00 am |

Goodness Gracious. Ah, and the 2006-2007 winter vacation concludes.Peter and I went to the city on Saturday and saw the "Masters of American Comics" exhibition at...get this, the New York Jewseum! It was a fantastic show. I wish I could go see the other half of the show at the Newark museum. Then we went to some comic book stores and saw a play called "The Perfect Crime." I think it was good, but I was a little too dense to figure out what was going on.Sunday we went riding! On horsies! Peter looks fab on a horse. My back hurts, my legs are okay now. I can't wait to do it again. My horse was named Bizmarck. He was sweet but wanted to be at the front of the line.I can't wait to come back to Portland. No more Air-mattresses. No more sleeping-in-a-separate-room-than-your-boyfriend. =(I'm coming back on Thursday. Yay!Not a well-concluded entry, but hey. | Saturday, January 17th, 2009 | 3:34 pm |
Ah, life. Life is good.Peter came back up from Tennesee on Thursday. Clean shaven! He got me Dragnet 1967 DVDs. Friday there was some running around, and Saturday he met the rest of my family. Sunday we went to the city to see Spamalot and had reservations at Madras Mahal. The show was hilarious (all Jew jokes, how can you go wrong?) and dinner was great, (Kosher, Vegetarian Indian cuisine?) We were out of the city by 7:30 (good riddance) and went to his Gramma's house in CT. We didn't make it to midnite (about 11:20 and we hit the hay) then had lunch with Gram, Mom, and Booli and I came home. Now I'm home, recording, and congested. =PI can't believe he got rid of the mousatche. I've got the at-home-can't-go-anywhere-on-my-own jitters. Kinda makes me want to have a car. | Friday, January 16th, 2009 | 1:14 pm |
I'm a nerd, but I'm a fairly unique nerd.Chrisstmas highlights:Gouache SetPeanuts Paperbacks from the 70'sAn Asian Screen Room dividerJump Little Children "Vertigo" CDThe rest was mostly candy and soap and lotion and nice thoughts, but hell, those first three were big. The gouache set alone must have been nearly $100. I got 5 peanuts books, including a great historical collection that Schultz worked on the year before he died (not from the 70's). Includes a letter from an irate reader who was upset that a "colored" child appeared in school with white children. The room divider was from my mother's parents. They sure are wonderful, it couldn't have been cheap because it was very very nice.I'm so grateful. I'm very lucky at Christmastime. And I still await a gift from my fathers parents! And My darling boyfriend will return to me on Thursday! I'm so happy.I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! | Thursday, January 15th, 2009 | 8:24 am |
