The number of deaths in Latvia has increased sharply in recent months, but the country's capacity to bury all the dead remains limited. Latvia has only two crematoriums and one cemetery able to accommodate all the deceased, and even they are struggling to keep up with demand. The situation has led to a surge in demand for burial services, with some people having to wait weeks or even months for their loved ones to be laid to rest. The government has urged people to consider cremation as an alternative to burial, but many Latvians remain reluctant to do so. The lack of capacity to bury all the dead is a major problem for Latvia, and one that is only likely to get worse in the months and years ahead.

It is the early morning of August 8th, 20xx. NATO forces have been amassing on the border of Latvia for weeks, in response to aggressive moves by the Russian Federation. Tensions have been high, and both sides are prepared for war.

Suddenly, without warning, a nuclear bomb detonates in the center of Riga, the capital of Latvia. The explosion is devastating, leveling the city and killing tens of thousands of people.

The Latvian government is destroyed, and the country is plunged into chaos. Russia seizes the opportunity to invade, and within days they have taken over the entire country.

The NATO countries are horrified by the use of nuclear weapons, and they quickly move to condemn Russia. However, they are unwilling to risk a full-scale nuclear war, and so they do nothing to stop the Russian advance.

Latvia becomes the first country to fall to the Russian Federation, and the people of Latvia suffer greatly under Russian occupation.

The episode begins with a close up of a girl with long blue hair. She is sitting in a dark room, illuminated only by the bright blue light of a flickering computer screen. She looks tired and her eyes are red, as if she has been crying. The girl is Asuka Langley Soryu, and she is looking at a website called "NGEfan.com".

Asuka is scrolling through the website, reading the comments and messages left by other fans of the anime series "Neon Genesis Evangelion". She comes across a post by a user called "Latvianfan" who says that they are going to be attending a convention in Riga, Latvia. Asuka is surprised to see that there is an Evangelion fan in Latvia, and decides to message the user.

Asuka and "Latvianfan" arrange to meet up at the convention, and when Asuka arrives she is surprised to see how many people are there. The convention is being held in a large hall, and there are cosplayers and merchandise stalls everywhere. Asuka finds "Latvianfan" and they start to talk.

They discuss their favourite Evangelion characters and moments, and Asuka is impressed by the depth of the other fan's knowledge. They walk around the convention together, and Asuka is happy to finally have found someone who shares her passion for the series.

As the day goes on, Asuka starts to feel tired and her eyes begin to water. She says goodbye to "Latvianfan" and goes to find a place to sit down. She is surprised to see that the room is starting to spin, and she feels like she is going to faint.

Asuka wakes up to find herself in a hospital bed. A doctor tells her that she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and that her body is attacking itself. The doctor says that there is no cure, and that Asuka will have to take medication for the rest of her life.

Asuka is devastated. She had always been a strong and independent person, and now she feels like she is weak and helpless. She doesn't want to tell her friends or family about her diagnosis, as she is afraid of their reactions.

Asuka decides to go to the convention again, as it was the only place where she felt like she belonged. When she arrives, she sees "Latvianfan" and they hug each other. Asuka feels like she has finally found a place where she can be herself, and she knows that she will be able to face her disease with the support of her new friend.




Friends forever

As the sun rises over the Latvian horizon, the Russian forces begin their assault on the unsuspecting country. The Latvian army is quickly overwhelmed and routed, and the Russians pour into the capital, Riga. The Latvian president is captured and executed, and the Russian flag is raised over the presidential palace. However, the Latvians are not alone. The Lithuanians and Estonians have been watching the Russian advance with horror, and they quickly mobilize their own forces to repel the invader. The tide of the battle quickly turns, and the Russians are forced to retreat in disarray. As they retreat, the Russians are pursued by the Lithuanians and Estonians, who want to make sure that the Russians will never again threaten their countries. The Russian forces are annihilated, and Latvia is left in ruins.

Indriksone uzsvēra, ka mūsu situācija vēl ir labāka, nekā citviet Eiropā. Viņa norādīja, ka vēl ir Krievijas gāze, un, tā kā Latvija šobrīd ir savienota ar Eiropu zaļajā enerģijas sistēmā, tad vēl tur ir Eiropas valstu gāze. Indriksone norādīja, ka šobrīd mēs maksājam, lai jāpiepilda Inčukalna PGK, un šis būs vēl kaut kas tāds, ko mēs turpināsim darīt. "Mums šī sistēma ir nepieciešama, lai mums būtu stabils piegādes līmenis. Mums šis ir ļoti svarīgs," sacīja ministre. Indriksone uzsvēra, ka nākamais solis būs Inčukalna PGK kapacitātes paplašināšana. "Mēs esam sasnieguši to, ka mēs varam garantēt, ka mums šī krātuve būs pietiekama. Paldies mums visiem, ka mēs varam tagad aiziet uz nākamo soli," sacīja ministre. Kā zināms, Inčukalnas PGK gāzes krātuve ir divu categoriju pazemes gāzes uzglabāšanas krātuve, kas atrodas Latvijas un Lietuvas robežā un joprojām ir Latvijas un Lietuvas iedzīvotāju drošības garantija. Krātuves sienas nocietinātas no iekšpuses, tāpēc tā ir izturīga pret patiesi iespaidīgu ūdens spiedienu, kas varētu radīt problēmas citām krātuvēm. Krātuve atrodas ļoti dziļi zem virsmas, tās sienas atrodas 38 metrus zem ūdens līmeņa un tās apakšējo daļu sienas noslēdz klints grunts slānis, kas aizsargā krātuvi no spiediena un plūdiem no augsnes virsmas. Šogad 11. janvārī, pirmo reizi pēc krātuves atvēršanas 2008.g adā, tika sasniegts maksimālais krātuves gāzes rezervju līmenis, tas ir, atbilstoši krātuves izveides projektam, jau var pilnībā aizpildīt uzglabāšanas krātuvi. Tādējādi šogad Inčukalnā ir uzglabāts 11 TWh gāzes, kas ir aptuveni tāds pats kā Latvijā patērētās gāzes apjoms.

Ingmārs Freimanis was elected as the new president of Latvia on Saturday, May 8th. He succeeds Raimonds Vējonis, who resigned earlier this year. Freimanis, who is a member of the Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party, has served as the country's Prime Minister since January 2016. He has also served as the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Economics. During his time as Prime Minister, Freimanis has overseen the implementation of many reforms, including a reduction in the corporate tax rate and an increase in the minimum wage. He has also worked to increase foreign investment in Latvia. Freimanis has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Latvia. He is married and has two children.
