As the sun rises over the Latvian horizon, the Russian forces begin their assault on the unsuspecting country. The Latvian army is quickly overwhelmed and routed, and the Russians pour into the capital, Riga. The Latvian president is captured and executed, and the Russian flag is raised over the presidential palace. However, the Latvians are not alone. The Lithuanians and Estonians have been watching the Russian advance with horror, and they quickly mobilize their own forces to repel the invader. The tide of the battle quickly turns, and the Russians are forced to retreat in disarray. As they retreat, the Russians are pursued by the Lithuanians and Estonians, who want to make sure that the Russians will never again threaten their countries. The Russian forces are annihilated, and Latvia is left in ruins.
