priekš Vuddija Allena pārāk vāja filma.. nemaz nejūt ka to būtu režisējis viņš.. tā vien šķiet, ka kāds pārāk necils režisors būtu mēģinājis veidot sižetu Hičhoka stilā.. jo nau nekas tāds kas nebūtu redzēts un izspēlēts jau..

brīžiem kaitināja Vela Kilmera perfektā nelīdzība ar Jimu, bet kopumā ļoti patikās.. arī Kalifornijas pludmali biju iztēlojies savādāku lasot Morisona biogrāfiju..bet tas nu tā.. filma ir kripatiņu aizraujošāka par pēdējā laikā redzētajām neizteiksmīgajām mūziķu biogrāfiskajām filmām..
