West Ham have suspended Tony Henry “pending a full and thorough investigation” after the club’s director of player recruitment was reportedly accused of racism and unlawful discrimination.

A report by the Daily Mail alleged Tony Henry told agents the club did not want to sign any African players in the transfer window. Asked for a response by the paper, Henry is reported to have explained West Ham wanted to limit their number of African players because “they have a bad attitude” and “cause mayhem” when they are not in the team.

Wondering if it is actually racist at all - if the club is cool with black players from the UK, then this guy is just reacting from experience with certain players from a particular continent (Sahko, Ayew were tough to deal with apparently + Masuaku is missing 6 games for spitting). He also said he had problems with Russian players, so wasn't looking there - is that racist? It seems he's being suspended for having an old-school 'right-that's-that-then' attitude, more than anything else.

It's no wonder that more westernly conditioned blacks, especially from relatively safe backgrounds are less problematic, while africans right from the coasts of Lybia are carrying along the 'culture' of their squalor in homeland. Guy is basically caring for the environment of the team he's servicing, but the loony left would none of that.

Cliques are in every club - even the ultra multi-cultural one I have been involved in for donkeys' years here in Riga. Muslims tend to stick together, Germans, Latvians and so on do the same: birds of a feather. If a bad vibe has manifested in any group, you would (if you could) cool down on recruitment from that population group until it passes.

But maybe the BBC pidgin service puts it best (https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/sport-42902570):

"English club West Ham don suspend director of player recruitment Tony Henry over claims wey im say di club no go sign any more African players.

UK paper Daily Maildey report say Henry bin report say African players dey "cause palava" when dem no dey inside di team."
