vakar aizlasījos līdz vēlai tumsai - kaut kas sen nebijis. "The Dutch House" by Ann Patchett, ko atradu RCB. paskatījos, kas Liina Bachmann bijis par to grāmatu sakāms. daļēji viņai piekrītu, bet man kaut kas tomēr tajā grāmatā tik ļoti patīk, ka ar tik vieglu roku to vis nenorakstītu. kaut kas tur tomēr pavīd arī aiz visa tā amerikāniskā, manuprāt. māja, saukta par Dutch House, ap kuru aptamborējas dzīves. “But we overlay the present onto the past. We look back through the lens of what we know now, so we’re not seeing it as the people we were, we’re seeing it as the people we are, and that means the past has been radically altered.” |
